Lianne Yu

Lianne is a founding member of Malvern College Hong Kong and has greatly enjoyed setting up the IB Diploma Programme, guiding it from authorisation to now completing the third cohort. Lianne has been instrumental in guiding students through their educational journey and has built integral relationships with both them and their parents. Growing up in Canada, Lianne has been a practitioner of music for more than 35 years, with extensive experience in public performances as a multi-talented musician, playing the piano and flute, as well as conducting. She was well placed to establish the Music programme for MCHK when it opened its doors in 2018. Lianne enjoys composing, arranging for, and conducting the school orchestra, whilst also acting as a role model for students, empowering them to take on leadership roles themselves.
